15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.

20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen. Mark 16:15-20

Here’s the deal. Believers are to go everywhere and preach the gospel to everyone. Believers should be making believers. Those new believers ought to be baptized as a testimony to their faith in Christ. In turn those newly baptized believers need to find someone to tell about their conversion to Christ and those who receive the message should be baptized. And then those newly baptized should…Ok you get the message.

Then all believers, the first and the last, should be casting out devils and speaking with new tongues. In the event they meet up with any kind of danger or attempted harm upon their person they are protected. It shall not hurt them.

Finally these faith filled saints should then be ready to heal the sick.

These are the last words of Jesus. This is his last will and testament. This should be carried out exactly as he said.

Jesus ascended into heaven and left us in charge. When he said it is finished on the cross he meant it. He was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. He sat down expecting us to go.

The first disciples understood the deal.

20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen

Me thinks some latter disciples are not faring so well.

It is our Purpose! to obey the Lord in what he has instructed believers in him to do. We go and help others to go. We train and prepare others for successful evangelization. We support others who are doing the work of the ministry.

Jesus also said concerning the matter:

2 Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest. Luke 10:2.

The prophet Isaiah shows us how to respond to such a challenge.

Isaiah 6:8: Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.

9 And he said, Go, and tell this people….
