I have seen many posts that read, "I hate cancer" or "I hate covid." Also, “cancer sucks” or “covid sucks.” I guess you could insert any sickness or disease in those statements. I understand why these posts are circulating. People have lost loved ones to these diseases and one of the ways they can express the hurt and pain of losing their loved ones is to show disdain toward those illnesses. I get it, I understand.
However, the disdain and hatred toward those things are misplaced. It is not sickness and disease that took their loved one, the one who causes sickness and disease is the one who took their loved one. Satan and his minions are the originators of both and the only way to combat them is with the authority Jesus Christ gave us:
Mark 16 "17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
The word believe is the Greek word pisteuo (Strong’s G4100) which means to commit unto, be committed unto, be put in trust with. So those who have committed (pledged or bound to a certain course or policy) to what? Those who have committed themselves to Jesus Christ being the Messiah that was promised so many years ago, the king of kings, and the Lord of lords. Those who have bound themselves with the life and teachings of Jesus Christ.
Satan walks about seeking whom he might devour. Those who believe WILL have signs following them. They will cast out demons and when they lay their hands on the sick, the sick will recover. No deadly thing will hurt you. You will even speak in new tongues. It is time to walk in the authority that Jesus gave us. -SAF-
