Fathers must be involved in the raising of their children. The Bible addresses that as a fact. Any man who has children that he is not caring for, providing for, and guiding through life is derelict in his responsibilities. The Bible says a Christian man who does not take care of his own family is worse than an infidel, that is: rejecting the Christian faith; not believing in the Bible or any Christian divine revelation; not to be trusted, perfidious, which means deliberately faithless, treacherous, deceitful; a heathen.
Read it in 1 Timothy 5:8: But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.
There must be a cessation of sexually obsessed men who will seduce a woman, especially a young girl, and rap to her until he persuades her to give herself to him for a few moments of pleasure, impregnates her and then disappears. And there must be a cessation of young women being so easily seduced by these predators and having one or numerous children out of wedlock, that is marriage. Wedlock is a good word. It states the nature of the matrimonial covenant. A man and woman are locked into a relationship for the purpose of reciprocal love and then reproduction.
Unfortunately the church has not, in many cases, so instructed their people and the problem is as rampant in the church as much as it is among sinners. Many men in the church are sinners too, prowling around for a chaste Christian girl. And these girls are deceived by these lustful unrestrained males and many are the lives that are damaged by the continual dysfunctional behavior.
STOP IT PEOPLE!
1 Corinthians 5:1-3: Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman.
2 Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.
3 Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband.
Hebrews 13:4: Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.
Whatever happened to “First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes Susie with a baby carriage?”
A couple with a baby came forward for prayer in one of our meetings. They were seeking a word from the Lord. The Holy Spirit spoke to me and said, Ask them if they are married. I did. The man responded, No we are not. I responded, The word of the Lord for you is, Go get married. Honor this woman and this child and get married. Then come back and God will give you another word. The young man said, That is what my mother has been telling me for weeks. I said, Your mother is right. Listen to her.
Too many times prophets are giving out “words” to people about blessings and prosperity and all the while these people are not even living right. Enough of that.
In conclusion, Ephesians 6:4 gives us the directive for proper father protocol:
4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
