Titus 2:3-5 3 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; 4 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, 5 To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.
I did a recent Google search to see who the world would say are the most influential women in the world. Of the list I saw, three of the top sixteen most influential women in the world were from the United States of America. The three women are indeed influential and have created a reputation, if not a legacy, that will carry on for generations to come.
I look at the lives of these three women and I compare their lives and the works they have done to Titus 2:3-5 (verses on previous page) and there are many discrepancies. I have found each woman to be the complete opposite.
The next generation of women need good Godly role models. Women, we need to step up and teach our young girls how to conduct themselves. How to respect themselves and see their worth so they do not fall for phony lines from those who only want to abuse them. Our girls need to know that it is ok to want to be married and have kids one day. It is not a weird desire for young girls to want to stay at home and raise their family.
I believe women can achieve great things, there is no limit. But if we neglect to teach the younger women the basics, there might not be a “next generation” to raise up. Lord help us. -SAF-
