Today marks the beginning of a new epoch in the ever-exciting history of Purpose! Ministries. Like the song says, “I’ve been a lot of places, and I’ve seen a lot of faces…. (Andrae Crouch). We have done that and continue to seek to follow the Lord’s leading the best way we know how. As we announced at our last meeting on January 19, we are making some changes to our services for this next season.
We are going to pray. There will be an emphasis on prayer. Come early, find a comfortable place and begin to pray. Pray in faith, pray specifically, pray according to the Word of God, and expect answers. Pray in tongues and if you don’t yet ask the Spirit to fill you so you can.
There may be a time of repentance, of crying out to God, or of groanings that cannot be uttered. Pour out your heart before the Lord.
Praise Him and be thankful. While talking to God is our focus, you may want to read a portion of scripture or just wait upon the Lord. Make a note of what He speaks to you.
If your prayer list is short, here are some things you can pray about: This ministry, the Pastor’s family, Operation Check Out. Pray for our nation, our leaders, and other nations and their leaders. Pray for our community, and other churches.
Our time of prayer will be followed by other ministry as deemed necessary.
We hope this becomes one of your best prayer experiences. May the Holy Spirit guide you and empower you for effective prayer. -PJF-
