Jesus Cannot be Replaced

By Pastor Shirley Flores

I once thought that certain medicinal practices and procedures were part of God’s plan for healing. It made sense. If you broke your arm, it made sense that you would have to have surgery. If someone had severe allergies and accidentally came in contact with that allergen, it would made sense to have an EpiPen or Benadryl close by.

What I have come to realize is, although all those things do bring relief and assist our bodies in getting better, it is not part of God’s plan for healing. God’s plan for healing is instant, it does not take place over a period of time.

*Hezekiah recovered instantly. Naaman was healed instantly. The woman with the issue of blood, healed instantly. The man at the Pool of Bethsaida, healed instantly. The centurion’s servant, healed instantly. The blind men, received their sight instantly. The lame man at the gate Beautiful, healed instantly.

Doctors and modern medicine did not bring the results Jesus did. They did not then, and they cannot now. I respect those in the medical profession. I believe they are an important part of our community. With all due respect, doctors did not replace Jesus.

Medicine did not replace Jesus. All the wisdom and knowledge that is in the world today cannot replace the one who gives wisdom and knowledge. Jesus cannot be replaced. Jesus healed then. Jesus is still healing today. -SAF-
