Romans 8:1-2 “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.”
Paul makes it clear, there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Condemnation is the expression of very strong disapproval; censure; the action of condemning someone to a punishment; sentencing.
I think this is one of the most important messages for believers to remember. Life happens. We make mistakes. We are not perfect. What makes us different from those who are not saved is that they are not free. They have no one to wipe those mistakes away and give them a fresh start.
Those who are in Christ Jesus have a fresh start every time they repent. It is taken away and not kept in a secret vault to be used against them in the future. If condemnation comes it is not God but your own conscience. Rebuke those thoughts and renew your mind to have the mind of Christ.
Be assured that God loves you and he wants you to be free. -SAF-
