“And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.” Colossians 3:23-24
This passage pushed me to get together our recent event, Kids Christmas Shop, in a short time. The Lord brought to my memory an event I was a part of more than 12 years ago, but I have not heard or seen any event like that since.
It seemed like an easy event to do. Once I got the “go ahead”, I moved forward. I saw many ways that I could cut corners where no one would know, but as I began this verse was brought to mind. I hate to admit, I began a few short cuts, but then I had to change course and do things the right way.
The process, the attitude you have about what you do and how you go about doing it, is what matters. Regardless of how big or small the project, the end result will exceed expectations if you do things the right way and with the right attitude.
Whatever you do, do it as if the Lord Jesus Christ were getting the final product. Keep that in mind and you will never be regretful of how things turn out. -SAF-
