Our Physical Response to Worship

By Pastor Shirley Flores

“But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.” John 4:23

Below are the lyrics to a song that I recently sang in church service called, The More I Seek You, written by Zach Neese and performed by Kari Jobe.

The more I seek you

The more I find you

The more I find you, the more I love you

I wanna sit at your feet

Drink from the cup in your hand

Lay back against you and breath, feel your heart beat

This love is so deep, it's more than I can stand

I melt in your peace, it's overwhelming

Worship, in general, is where a lot of people get “uncomfortable” because it is so intimate. I love the lyrics because it is the physical response we should have when we are in true worship with God.

When you are no longer uncomfortable with displaying your love for God physically (privately or publicly) you enter into true worship. Do not be concerned with how it looks or what people will think. Go ahead, sit at His feet. Drink from the cup in His hand. Lay back against Him and breathe. Feel His heart beat. Be overwhelmed by the love and peace that is only found in Him. -SAF-
