Praise and variants of the word are in the Bible 321 times. Psalms 92 says "it is a good thing to give praise to the Lord." Psalms 34 says "his praise shall continually be in my mouth." In Hebrews it says, "let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise." Praise is important! God strategically placed this word throughout the Bible so we would not forget one of the most powerful weapons we have against the enemy. When you praise God in any situation you break strongholds in the supernatural so things can be released to you in the natural.
Acts 16:22-26, Paul and Silas were beaten and thrown in jail. Instead of complaining and getting upset with each other, they sang praises to God. Then something unexpected happened. The Bible says there was a violent earthquake that shook the foundations of the prison causing the doors to fly open and the chains to fall off. Their praise snapped something in the supernatural realm and allowed God to move on their behalf.
You may not know the power you have through praise... but the devil does. Satan knows what will happen when you praise God so he tries all he can to keep you from doing it. Do not give in to the adversary! Praise the Lord through every situation- good or bad, happy, or sad. Everything depends on your praise so, regardless of how you feel it is critical that you do it. I am not saying everything will turn out the way you want it to because you praise God; however you do not know what you are keeping bound up because you will not praise God. So praise Him! -SAF-
