I was reading John 17 where Jesus prays for himself, his disciples, and future believers.
What really got to me was John 17:24, “Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world."
Before my husband and I decided to get married, we talked about the five love languages. My dominant love language is quality time. I love spending time with my husband, friends, and family- its makes me feel worthwhile that they would take time out of their busy schedules to be with me and more importantly- they want to. That is what I felt when I read the verse above.
Jesus stopped what he was doing in heaven to come to earth. He went through persecution, pain, betrayal, even death on a cross- all because He wants us to be where he is. I do not know what that does to you, but it makes my heart melt. The Savior of the world went through it all just for the purpose of spending quality time with me. 😊 -SAF-
