The Lord brought this verse to my heart, 2 Chronicles 20:17, "Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the Lord with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the Lord will be with you."
God told his people that they will not fight the battle. God said, get in position, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord.
They set out for battle. When they got to a certain place, they looked over and saw dead bodies everywhere. God caused their enemies to destroy each other; no one was left alive. The people of Judah rejoiced and went to collect everything of value. There was so much that it took them 3 days to get it all. They praised God and thanked him for the victory that God gave them.
We are facing troublesome times. Things keep getting worse and worse and it seems as if there is nothing we can do. Every day is a battle. Our situation appears to be hopeless.
The word of the Lord is to STAND STILL.
Stop running around in fear. Stop running around in desperation. Stop trying to figure it all out. Stop letting others make the decision for you. Just stand still. Watch and see what God has been doing behind the scenes. Let God fight your battles. Let God work on those who are coming against you. All you have to do is stand still. -SAF-
