Stay in the Boat

By Pastor Shirley Flores

“And as the shipmen were about to flee out of the ship, when they had let down the boat into the sea, under colour as though they would have cast anchors out of the foreship, Paul said to the centurion and to the soldiers, Except these abide in the ship, ye cannot be saved. Then the soldiers cut off the ropes of the boat, and let her fall off.” Acts 27: 30-32

Life is all about choices and dealing with the decisions we have made. Sometimes we make good choices. Sometimes we make bad choices. In most cases we make can quickly fix a situation when we see a poor decision was made.

Then there are more difficult decisions that we make, that if we choose wrongly, cannot be quickly corrected but must take its course until a safe departure can be made. I do not think I need to give an example of this. I know those who are reading this are already feeling the impact of those poorly made decisions and you are at that point where you think “this is it, this is my chance to get out.”

I want to point out those verses above. The decisions you made got you into the mess you are in and another poor decision will not make it any better. The Lord has already spoken to you specifically about your situation. Stay in the boat and it will save your life. God is not the author of confusion, so when it is time to separate, it will be crystal clear. -SAF-
