I have heard so many statements over the past few months. Everyone has something they feel they need to share with the world regarding current situations and circumstances. Government officials have been holding press conferences and updates on the new developments in our cities, states, and our country. So much talking from so many individuals.
Instead of thinking and sorting through all that has been said… people make more statements. They pressure others to make statements, to let their voice be heard. In all that I am hearing it seems as if people are saying things just to say them. On social media, I rarely see individuals sharing his or her own thoughts.
Proverbs 18:21 says, Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
I believe that every person is accountable for the words they speak and for the actions they take. I believe we have authority to speak good things and bad things into existence. I do not want to waste any time speaking nonsense and foolishness that will create undesirable outcomes.
I understand this Bible verse. I know how powerful words are and because of that, I choose to exercise my right to be silent. I want to speak life and encouraging words. I want truth to resonate from the inside out. -SAF-
